Art Steals Assignment

For this assignment, I chose to do appropriation. I combined the famous artworks of from Leonardo Da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh. I combined Mona Lisa and the Starry Night along with a Batman theme. In this artwork, you can see that Mona Lisa is starring at Batman who is standing on the tree with the starry light in the background being replaced with the Batman logo. The meaning behind this artwork is to represent the idea of appropriation; steeling a variety of artworks and transforming them into one unique artwork.
